Meghan Darling ( DS’13)

 

Meghan is a senior student in the equine massage therapy program. She is a hardworking individual who strives to learn and succeed in this challenging program. She has been nominated by the staff for her friendliness and punctuality.

Meghan is also fond of other four legged creatures including her kitten Luna and her dog Maya. She enjoys Western riding for the “comfy saddles” and is enjoying working with an adorable Standardbred mare for her Case Study on Lumbar Myositis. You should ask her about her progress!

Student Profile – Tara Waldron

SNL CouncilTara Waldron is a current student enrolled in the Human Massage Therapy Program at D’Arcy Lane Institute. She is in her first year of the program, working hard and enjoying her experience. Tara is also involved with the organization, writing of and publication of our monthly Student Newsletter. The D’Arcy Lane Student Newsletter!

D’Arcy Lane is happy to announce the creation of the D’Arcy Lane Student Newsletter, created by the students for the students. Feeling a need for a forum to enable our students to further connect with one another, to share information and help to grow our community, the decision to create a student run Newsletter was born. Research Literacy

Since the Ontario Board of Regents began regulating massage therapy in 1919, our profession has grown considerably. As we continue to define our place within the healthcare system, the need for credible massage therapy research also grows. Research is a powerful tool that can drive our profession forward through further exploration of the effects of massage therapy, ensuring both its safety and effectiveness and by helping to open a dialogue with other healthcare professionals. My name is Brandy and I am a recent graduate of the D’Arcy Lane Institute.  While I am an individual who tends to gravitate towards academic surroundings, I have certainly experienced my share of stress and sleepless nights while worrying about quizzes and exams.
